Mark's Favorite Organizaitons

Mark spent countless hours volunteering with CanCare, an organization that provides emotional support, practical advice and resources to cancer patients.  He provided hope and support to 36 cancer patients, while fighting his own battle with cancer.

Mark served as Treasurer, Vice-President and President of the Texas Association of Sports Officials. Even when he was no longer able to work on a crew himself, he still volunteered countless hours doing crew evaluations. In 2008 he was awarded a lifetime membership at the TASO convention.

He was a member of the Touchdown Club and enjoyed attending their events.  He was twice honored by that organization.  He volunteered with the Texas Bowl and in 2013 was awarded the Chairman’s Award for Coaches and Player Hospitality.

Mark joined Big Brothers Big Sisters of Houston and was excited when he was assigned his “little brother”.  He loved introducing him to many incredible sports experiences. Mark remained close with his "little brother" all through his high school years, and took on his younger brother as well.

Mark was a lifetime member of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo.

Mark was a lifetime member of the Oaks Dads Club Little League starting as a coach of his son Jeff’s t-ball and flag football teams.  He served three terms as President.
